  • Barrel aged at no more than 125 proof (62.5 alcohol by volume).
  • Only water maybe added to the whiskey, no added flavors or colors.
  • Aged in new charred oak barrels except corn whiskey.
  • Corn whiskey is usually sold as moonshine.

  • Blended whiskey is as the name suggests a combination of neutral spirits (vodka) and straight whiskey and may contain coloring and added flavors.
  • There are other niche whiskeys with other requirements.

What is Mobster's Whiskey ?

Our old time recipe is from a moonshiner who perfected the combination of various Rye grains and other ingredients into a great tasting rye whiskey.  It was so good Chicago's underworld bought this for their speakeasy's. We call our rye whiskey Mobster's Whiskey because of the recipes history. We have modernized the process to keep up with the demand while keeping the same great flavor.

You will notice an orange, spicy, vanilla, tart tangy flavor. It has a very complex flavor profile. Nothing overpowering just the right mixture of flavor compounds.
